Subway Design Presented at Las Vegas Convention

(Las Vegas, NV) After creating a preliminary Subway POS design, Scoresby Interactive produced a prototype to illustrate the intended functionality. We then took this prototype to Subway's 2008 convention at the beautiful Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. About 350 people used the prototype over two days, with about one-third of those completing a follow-on survey. Participants were from all around the world, and they came with a wide variety of experience with Subway.

In addition to analyzing survey results, we also observed and talked with participants about their experience using the system. The response to the new system was extremely positive, though we discovered some needed adjustments as well. Additionally, we identified some questions which needed to be answered through analysis of actual store data. Combining the results of both qualitative and quantitative data analysis, we were able to adjust the design in ways that would result in the greatest increases in speed and accuracy.

A final design will be presented to Subway and IPC representatives in October, 2008.
